Help using A2B

Adding a website to A2B

Any webpage which is tied to a specific location can be added to A2B. Go here to add a website. When adding a website to A2B, you will be asked for three pieces of information:

Website URL
The URL is the address of the website or page you would like to add. This should always include the http:// at the beginning. An example:

http://www.example.com/historymuseum/index.html

Title
When you add a website, A2B will try to get the title directly from the website itself. If no title is found, or if you would like to substitute your own title, you can do so. Please fill in an appropriate description of less than 40 characters.

Position
Each website added to A2B has to have a latitude and longitude position associated with it so it will show up in search results. There are four ways you can include a site's position:
  • HTML Code META Tag - if you are adding your own website, you can include HTML code in your page which tells A2B the position of your site. A2B accepts both GeoURL-style ICBM metatags and Geotag metatags and will check for these automatically. Want to know how to include one of these tags on your site? Find out more...
  • Latest Recorded Position - when you use a GPS device to upload your position to A2B, or update your position manually on the A2B website.
  • Enter Position Manually - if you know the latitude and longitude position of the place you are adding a site, you can enter it manually. If you don't know it, you can find it out.
